Join me as I walk you through three engaging ESL lessons about jobs! Each lesson builds on the last, helping students learn vocabulary, grammar, and sentence structures while having fun with interactive games and activities. These lessons are perfect for ESL teachers looking for fresh ideas and effective teaching techniques. Part 1 - 8 Jobs - (his/her/their) In this lesson, students learn eight job-related vocabulary words: artist, chef, teacher, doctor, nurse, police officer, firefighter, and engineer. Through fun games, we drill these new words and practice using "his," "her," and "their" in sentence structures like: What’s her job? She’s a teacher. What’s their job? They’re firefighters. The games make learning memorable and enjoyable while reinforcing proper grammar. Note: I removed the error in this PowerPoint for the answers to the questions, "What's her job?" "She's a nurse?" - In the video I had a question mark for the answer which is a mistake that is now corrected. Part 2: Using do/does and verbs Building on Part 1, we dive into what each job does: What do firefighters do? Firefighters put out fires and save people. What does a chef do? A chef cooks food in restaurants. Students practice "do/does" grammar and learn to differentiate between singular and plural forms: What do doctors do? Doctors help sick people. What does a doctor do? A doctor helps sick people. Interactive games and dialogues help students master these structures. By the end of the lesson, they’re confidently using plural and singular verb forms in complete sentences. Part 3: What do you want to be? In the final lesson, we introduce "This is a person who…" grammar to describe jobs: What does a doctor do? A doctor is a person who helps sick people. Students also learn to talk about their future ambitions with questions like: What do you want to be? I want to be a firefighter. The lesson wraps up with a fun and creative poster activity where students draw their dream job and write about it using the new grammar structures. 📚 Perfect for ESL Teachers! These lessons are designed to make teaching jobs vocabulary, grammar, and dialogues easy and effective. With engaging PowerPoint slides and step-by-step instructions, your students will stay engaged and excited about learning English. 00:00 - Intro 02:33 - Jobs - Part 1 18:17 - Jobs - Part 2 33:49 - Jobs - Part 3 50:36 - Outro If you want to purchase this lesson and find additional ESL teaching resources, visit the following sites: Teacher Matt's Store: Part 1, 2, and 3 COMBO - https://teachermattspowerpoints.com/p...
