Sorry for the delay in getting this done. It's been a long time coming! My oldest son just graduated school and we had open houses, graduation, parties to set up...more than I ever expected. I'm proud of him though (he's in the video as is my wife, Diane) so it's totally worth it. Gavin has been busy with band and friends since school is out and time is at a premium to get us together for more than a little bit. This ration is HUGE! 3500 calories, LOTS of fatty food, and even a tin of pure pork fat. We were expecting something like fatty bacon...it was more like bacony fat. Gross. It'd be great to cook in, not so great to eat. The boys loved the pate...me not so much as you'll see. It is a somewhat long video, but please keep in mind that it is 3 full meals. This is what is given out as an all day ration for the Russian Army soldiers. Very interesting and wholesome food. It's much less processed than the US rations, but it also has a much shorter shelf life. The apple jam (apple butter) was stuck to some glue that had dripped from the sealing of the box. It tore open when I pulled it out so it was fine to eat. We weren't quite sure at first and thought it had burst. If you enjoy, please like and subscribe. Shares are always appreciated too.
