Welcome to Baguio, the coldest city in the Philippines, also known as the Summer Capital of the Philippines. My day began with a mission to find the cheapest burger in Baguio. I’d heard about this burger stand before, so I had a clear goal: to find it and try their burgers. I bought one double-patty burger for just $0.37 and a single-patty burger for only $0.25. What an incredible deal! My First Time in Baguio! (Cold in Philippines) 🇵🇭 • My First Time in Baguio! (Cold in Philippi... I went to Burnham Park to enjoy the burgers with a water view. I love that area for its calming atmosphere. The burgers were really good, especially for the price, which made it an incredible deal. My only critique would be to add a bit more sauce, but given the price, I can’t really complain. After that, we went for a drink at a local milk tea shop with great prices. Shockingly, they offered a "king" size cup with a 1-liter capacity. Insane! From there, I headed to the local market to buy a T-shirt. I wanted a Baguio shirt, as it’s truly an awesome place. I found a nice black T-shirt with "Baguio" printed on it and was happy with my find. Next, it was time to catch a taxi. Getting one on the street was a bit tough since most already had passengers, so I went to the SM Mall instead. They have a taxi line there, which makes it super easy, as taxis continuously come by to pick up passengers. Really convenient! I needed to head to the Bureau of Immigration to sort out my visa, and I was pleased with how smooth the process was. The staff was kind and very helpful. Afterward, I headed to Wright Park, where there were horse-riding activities, small markets, and a garden shop. I made my way toward The Mansion, where the Philippine presidents spend their holidays. It was actually a spontaneous find! Later, I went to the Botanical Gardens but found out there was an entrance fee. I was a bit disappointed since I think parks should be free for everyone. I decided not to go in, as I only wanted to take a quick walk. I grabbed a taxi back to Burnham Park. I planned to find a burger and shawarma but made a small detour to a local fruit market. The girls there were very friendly and offered me a taste of a unique banana I’d never had before. I later realized this is the same banana used for making turon. As the weather started to turn, I got my last meals of the day. I headed to Dad's Shawarma for a burger and shawarma and returned to Burnham Park to enjoy them.
