Its body is shaped and scarfed like a classic SG, but is made of a AA maple top and mahogany back/sides. Plus, thanks to its SlimTaper neck and compound radius ebony fingerboard, you get a fast-playing, responsive feel across all parts of the neck. A new Modern contoured neck heel makes high-fret access easier than ever, while preserving sustain. Hardware upgrades include locking Grover Rotomatic tuners, and Burstbucker Pro Alnico V pickups. These humbuckers feature 4 push-pull pots to switch between humbucker and single-coil P90 sounds, giving the SG Modern a premium on tonal versatility.
