You know what makes me happy? Some good ah food. So, yes I was really happy in Korea. From the street vendors to the restaurants we ate at, my stomach was constantly being filled to the brim. Even in the city, the prices aren't crazy expensive so we were ordering everything we wanted. At one point in the trip, we went to this sushi place and ordered two entrees. The sushi chef even asked the waiter "are you sure they ordered two each?" So yeah, in terms of food, we were definitely making the most of the experience LOL. We did a lot of museums and history stuff too. Personally, I wouldn't go out of my way to visit these places BUT I think it is important to learn at least a little about the culture of a country you're visiting. Museums are one way, but so is interacting with the locals and trying to learn phrases/words in their language. To our surprise, people in Seoul didn't speak English as well as we thought they would. So, knowing some Korean will definitely help if you plan on visiting. But ya this is a trip I'll never forget. Big thank you to Colby College for funding this trip and making this all happen!
