The guidelines we give TEDx organizers are described in more detail here: http://storage.ted.com/tedx/manuals/t... Prescribing a medicine is the most common intervention we make in healthcare. Jamie will explore the complex relationship patients have with their medicines and the unintended environmental consequences of our medicine-taking behaviour. Jamie is a pharmacist and director at the NHS Wales, Welsh Medicines Resource Centre. He is also an Honorary Professor of Medicines Optimisation in the Department of Applied Psychology, at Cardiff Metropolitan University and a Fellow of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society. Throughout his thirty-year NHS career, Jamie has had the privilege of hearing thousands of stories from clients, colleagues and patients. His passion and expertise have focused on medicines and therapeutics, behavioural change, culture, coaching and performance. As a certified executive and team coach of 10 years, Jamie has coached individuals and teams from start-ups to blue chips. Sectors include academia, aviation, business, civil service, education, elite sport, finance, healthcare, insurance, legal, media and retail. Jamie is co-host of The Aural Apothecary Podcast - a podcast about medicines, people and stories.
