On 21st of September 2024 we started our trip to Nepal. Welcome to my latest adventure! In this vlog, I'm taking you on a unique journey from Kolkata, India, to Pokhara, Nepal, all by train! This is not your typical travel route, and it's an experience filled with stunning landscapes, cultural shifts, and unforgettable moments. *1. Departure from Kolkata* Our journey begins in Kolkata, the bustling, vibrant heart of West Bengal. We board a train at Howrah Station, one of the oldest and busiest railway stations in India. The city’s energy is palpable, but as the train rolls out of the station, we leave behind the chaotic urban landscape for a more peaceful, scenic route. *2. Scenic Views of the Bengal Countryside* As we head towards the Indo-Nepal border, the train winds through the lush, green plains of Bengal. You’ll see rural villages, expansive rice fields, and the occasional river cutting through the landscape. It’s the perfect opportunity to relax, chat with locals, and take in the natural beauty of this region. *3. Crossing into Nepal* Our adventure takes a thrilling turn when we cross the India-Nepal border. The immigration process is smooth, but there's a noticeable change in the vibe. The landscape transforms into the rolling hills and mountains that make Nepal so famous. From here on, the train journey becomes even more scenic as we approach the Himalayan foothills. *4. Arriving at the Heart of Nepal* As we enter Nepal, the train track winds through small towns, and the culture shifts. You'll notice the colorful temples, monasteries, and the peaceful rural way of life. The further we go, the more the majestic Annapurna range appears in the distance, slowly unveiling itself as we approach our final destination. *5. Arrival in Pokhara* Finally, after a long, adventurous ride, we arrive in Pokhara — one of the most beautiful places in Nepal. Known for its stunning lakes, adventure sports, and panoramic views of the Himalayas, Pokhara is the perfect place to unwind after this incredible journey. Throughout the vlog, I’ll share tips on booking your train tickets, navigating the stations, and making the most of your time on this unforgettable train ride. Whether you're a seasoned traveler or someone looking for inspiration, this journey is a reminder that the path can be just as exciting as the destination.
