Some rides are about the road. This one was about where it led. I set out on a quiet ride through inland Costa Blanca with a single destination in mind — Castillo de la Atalaya in Villena. Riding toward a structure that’s stood here for centuries on a modern motorcycle really puts time into perspective. This wasn’t a fast ride or a technical one. Just calm roads, changing scenery, and the slow reveal of one of Spain’s most impressive and overlooked castles. Moments like this are exactly why I love motorcycle touring in Spain.
