Recipe : 2 cups rice 4-5 tablespoons ghee, or butter 1 teaspoon of fenugreek seeds 4 cups boiling water *serves 3-4 people Method: Soak the rice for about 30 minutes in warm water and drain the water. Soaking makes the rice soft and fluffy. Boil about four cups of water separately. Heat a kasaundi or a thick-base cooking pot over medium heat. Add the ghee and then fry the fenugreek seeds. As soon as the seeds start popping, add the soaked rice. Cook the rice over medium heat for about 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally. It will soak four up all the ghee. Then add about cups s of hot water, stir, put the lid on, reduce the heat to low, and cook for another 15-20 minutes. Stir a couple of times.
