Student Dies By Suicide At Kerala College, Sparks Massive Protest | Kerala Student Suicide | News18 The students came out in protest, alleging severe mental torture by the college management to be the reason behind the alleged suicide. The suicide of a second-year engineering student in Kerala’s Kottayam sparked massive protests in the college. Shraddha Satish, a food technology student at the Kanjirapally Amal Jyoti Engineering College, allegedly died by suicide last Friday when she was found hanging inside her hostel room. The students came out in protest, alleging severe mental torture by the college management to be the reason behind the alleged Shraddha's suicide. A native of Thiruvankulam in Ernakulam district, Shraddha was allegedly blamed by the teachers for her low marks in the previous semesters.
