2007. The Bronze and Black models are the premium cartridges in the 2M series. They have an improved suspension block, silver plated copper coils, more precise positioning of the pole pieces with the stylus assembly, and use of extended contact stylus shapes. The difference between the Bronze and Black models is the shape of the stylus. The Bronze is fitted with a hyper-elliptical stylus while the Black uses a Shibata stylus. The Shibata traces over 30% more of the record groove compared to the Bronze resulting in more detail and better definition of the music.
