Clip "When" from album "Secrecy", Igloo Records, 2020 shooted in Sept. 2020 at igloo studio and Brussels city by night by Vincent Blairon Track "When" - publishing by Sowarex/Igloo "Secrecy" with Diederik Wissels (piano), Ana Rocha (vocal), Andreas Polyzogopoulos (trumpet), Helge Andreas Norbbaken (drums) At times very vocal, “Secrecy” alternates pieces that were freely improvised and instrumentals (but with vocals). The music, at times as soft as a whisper, sometimes crystalline and razor-sharp, follows the stories told by the melodies of the piano, lyrics and voice. Together, the piano and the voice lament, explain, play and listen, giving themselves space when space is needed. Elegantly navigating between restraint and opening, each piece offers different shades. Percussionist Helge Andreas Norbakken adds his unique sound to the duo, bringing each song to life by creating either a scene, a specific atmosphere or by leading the song to its destination. His whispers awaken the dead, summon the wind and gracefully carry the piano and voice away. To complete the quartet, trumpeter Andreas Polyzogopoulos joins the team and enriches the pieces with his energy and the clarity of his playing. His trumpet pierces the fog and spreads – but only where necessary – carefully drawn lines to connect with the other musicians. "Saturnian piano, lunar trumpet, celestial voice. Like the mysterious scent of a secret fragrance, this music discreetly insinuates itself into the mind, which it awakens. Delicateness, fragility and lyricism are the abstract fruits of these clusters of rare notes that come alive, reverberate and harmonize into an evanescent choreography on the surface of a nocturnal lake. And while a contrasting tide of sounds rises into a spontaneous creation, bursts of intuitive dreams appear that, when assembled, compose scenes from an imaginary film to which there is no need to add images" (Pierre Dulieu)
