We all have our own purposes when delivering speeches. And the following were the basic or the commonly encountered forms. 1) Informative - it aims to inform or educate audiences by providing facts, researches, or statistics. 2) Persuasive - it has the purpose of persuading or convincing audiences to move into action or change. 3) Entertainment - it aims to provide pleasure or enjoyment where audiences can laugh on inserted anecdotes. 4) Demonstrative - it is similar to informative speech but the only distinction is it demonstrates the process. 5) Motivational - its purpose is to inspire or encourage audiences to be optimistic in life and aspire for success. 6) Debate - it is also called argumentative speech which goal is to prove the claim and win the argument.
