This interview is part of a series of expert sessions with founders, academics, subject matter experts and advocates in the digital space. Talal Raza is an independent digital rights advocacy consultant based in Pakistan. With eleven years of experience in public policy and human rights advocacy across South Asia, Talal has a deep understanding of the socio-political challenges and opportunities within the region. His seven years working in an international environment have further strengthened his expertise in cross-cultural and diplomatic contexts. During his interview, Talal spoke extensively about digital rights in a South Asian context. Of note, he spoke about topics of internet access and usage, economic benefits of digital skills, political disinformation and harms associated with the lack of digital literacy in these countries.
