SNMP stands for Simple Network Management Protocol. SNMP was first introduced way back in 1988. SNMP was originally designed to be a network management and network monitoring protocol. The network management aspect of SNMP never took off, and SNMP, over time, became one of the mainstream network monitoring protocols. 🤔 In this video, I provide a high-level overview of SMTP in less than 7 minutes.
