AD Laws has taken their 4-Grain whiskey, aged it for five years, and finished it in Calvados Casks! Calvados is a type of brandy made in Normandy in Northern France. In fact, calvados — just like Cognac and Armagnac — is a French brandy regulated by an AOC or Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée (Controlled Designation of Origin). Calvados is an apple brandy from Normandy, France. This finished bourbon has a sour mash bill of 60% corn, 20% heirloom wheat, 10% heirloom rye, 10% heirloom malted barley with a char 3 barrel.
