We review the Lenovo ThinkPad Carbon X1 to find out if it's any good, and if you should buy it yourself! Buy a ThinkPad: https://geni.us/U3hu Summary: Our review configured as: Core 7 155u 512NVMe 32GB RAM Specs: At $1,500 its a great computer, but the lack of a higher fidelity screen is a disappointment. Still it's a powerhouse machine that sports a lot of strong hardware that will be great for video editing and productivity work. LCD: 4/5 - could be a smidge bright and as mentioned, higher fidelity. That said it's crisp, clear, accurate colors, deep blacks, and true whites. Speakers: 4/5 they get LOUD AF. If not a little tinny, they are solid and great for a 14" computer. Keyboard / Mouse: Keyboard is mechanical and super tactile 5/5 - great for journalists and enthusiasts alike. Trackpad and Nipple are accurate and precise. 5/5. I/O: 4/5 only thing its missing is a camera card reader. Lacks ethernet but most won't care about that. Features: 5/5 - what more do you want? Has fingerprint reader, windows Hello compatible camera, webcam with shutter, all day battery, backlit keyboard. Mobility: 5/5 - there are mice that weigh more than this laptop. This thing can take a beating AND go from country to classroom through airport or campus. Excellent. It's 2 lbs. Repair: 4/5 - can't upgrade RAM, but has slot for extra NVMe, 4 screws easy access, and you can replace motherboard, drives, or LCD easily. Do I recommend? Resounding yes. Love this computer. IT's great for audio editors, journalists, professionals. It's a little overpriced considering Apple gives you a nicer screen for less money, but it's a quality computer that will last a LONG time.
