English Warbow Society - New Zealand at Harcourt Park

I had the pleasure of being a part of the English Warbow demonstration put on by the English Warbow Society of New Zealand (EWBS-NZ) at the Harcourt Park International Jousting Festival. Held in Upper Hutt near Wellington, New Zealand it is the biggest Medieval event in the southern Hemisphere. We did two demonstrations, one on the Saturday and one on the Sunday, both ran very smoothly and I am happy to say they were a success. Our focus in these demonstration were on military Archery of the Hundred Years War period, more specifically: Warbow mobility. Keith, chairman of the EWBS-NZ planned the demonstration and the many weekend's of practice we engaged in leading up to the weekend. All in all a wonderful time was had with good friends, good beer (splash of Tequila and breakfast biscuit) and some good shooting. Quality camping. I hope to be next year.
