Is this the best antenna for emergency communications? It depends... This is NOT and in-depth review. Just my very first impressions and very first setup with this antenna. I hooked it up to both my Yaesu FT-891 and LDG 817 Tuner and my Lab599 TX0500 Discovery after a very hasty deployment. This in no way shows the pique performance of this antenna. It is capable of multiple configurations of deployment. I hope this gives you an idea of it to see if it might be something you want to add to your antenna arsenal to experiment with.
