Hello my friends! 🌸 In today’s video, I’m creating a bold and dramatic red bloom painting using the bloom technique. This striking bloom feels like a flower taking center stage — full of movement, energy, and rich crimson beauty. The deep reds, soft pinks, touches of gold, and delicate lacing all come together to create a truly expressive piece. In this tutorial, I demonstrate how I build a single large bloom using a pillow paint base, layered colors, and cell activator to achieve beautiful detail and flowing petals. You’ll see the entire process from puddle to bloom as the painting comes alive. Though I must say I didn’t realize the glare of the light above, but the close up shows it’s true beauty. I’m truly grateful for you. 📌PAINT COLORS IN THIS PAINTING Combination of Fluorescent Pink + Magenta + Burgundy TLP Athena Primary Element Pixie Dust 24kt + Copper Quin Rose Custom Green 📌 PILLOW PAINT PPG Multipro, white base in eggshell 📌 POURING MEDIUM 3 parts Glidden Premium Base 3 in semigloss or eggshell Then, mix in 2 parts Minwax Polycrylic Crystal Clear Topcoat in gloss. 📌 PAINTS Mix 3 parts pouring medium with 1part paint plus water to thin to desired thickness depending on which technique you'll be using. 📌 PIGMENTS Add a small amount of Varnish to a cup, then add your pigments to wet and mix.
