2025 Datsun 510 East Coast Meet // Jefferson 500 at Summit Point Motorsports Park

It's been over a decade since I've been able to attend the Datsun 510 East Coast meet at Summit Point. Each year it's held on the same weekend as the Vintage Racers Group's Jefferson 500 event which, as you will see, brings out some epic vintage style race cars. This year falls on a somber note after the loss of David Weitz, the man who took me into the Datsun community in 2012 knowing literally nothing, surrounded by no one on the east coast, and turned my first car, the white 1972 Datsun 510 shown at the beginning of this video, into a life long passion. David was a major Datsun enthusiast, helping out our little community the best way he could through his knowledge and parts accumulation over the years. He played a strong role in the East Coast meet at Summit. This is our first year without him but we will carry him in our hearts.
