This 1950s or 60s travelogue of Holland shows the tulip and flower industry (:40). The island of Marken is seen at 1:10. A "typical housewife" is seen at the 2 minute mark putting up the laundry to dry. The village of Volendam is seen at the 2:30 mark, as children play jump rope. Trawlers are seen in port. Vast tulip fields are seen at 3:00, along with the Lakken factory. Gouda is seen at 3:30 with the Cathedral of St. John. A cheese market is seen at 4:45, and cheese is actually rolled aboard a barge for embarkation. Amsterdam's sea resort is seen at 5:00. The city of Amsterdam is seen at 5:20 with its canals. Winter is seen at 6:20 with skaters and sledders. At 6:50, traditional dancing is seen. The film ends with a massive holiday celebration including a tulip parade, and Queen Juliana and the royal family make an appearance. Juliana was Queen of the Netherlands from 1948 until 1980. She reigned for nearly 32 years. Her reign saw the decolonization of both Indonesia and Suriname from the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
