In For Honor, the Hitokiri are such warriors, former executioners turned psychopaths who haunt the battlefield with their giant axe, butchering anyone who dares challenge them. But who are they based on? Journey with me to the Bakumatsu where we look at Japans "Four Horsemen of the Bakumatsu" known simply as "The 4 Hitokiri." We'll explore who they were, how they rose to prominence, and what became of them.
