One of the few units to have Gatling gun-style vulcans, Barzam is a unique but rarely played unit. Its gimmick was centered around the Vulcan Pod but at the cost of its beam rifle which only had four shots. Even the very nice Titans skill, which was new at the time of the unit's release, was not enough to keep players playing this unit. Like Bolinoak Sammahn, Barzam was given a longer range beam rifle but unlike Bolinoak Sammahn Barzam actually received more ammo on its beam rifle. Its weapon 1 is your standard medium-range unit melee. It takes four hits to knock down your opponent. Its weapon 2 is the Vulcan Pod. It's a 10-shot burst while immobile and a 3-shot burst while moving. Its range is much longer than your standard vulcan-type weapon. The fact that the weapons higher DPS comes from it standing still as opposed to moving might put off some people especially those used units with normal style vulcans which typically have a high fire rate and low cooldown between shots. The weapon 3 is the beam rifle but now with longer range. The longer range beam rifle helps Barzam to engage the enemy further away instead of it being stuck at mid-range. The ammo isn't very high but its better than what it had before. Barzam's skills are Veteran Ranger and Remember the Titans/Pride of the Titans. So does the longer beam rifle and the increased ammo count improve the unit? Yes but I feel that unit still has problems distinguishing itself. At first glance it has a very solid kit. It has beam and shell-type weapons as well as medium and long-range types of weapons. It also has a great skill two. However I feel that most people will pass this unit over for other units like ReZEL Commander or BR Gundam Alex.
