In this video we will practice the questions of heating effect of electric current. You can find the full derivation of formula of heating effect of current. You can also find the derivation of formula of power in circuit and formula of energy consumed in the circuit. 1. In a parallel circuit with two resistors of equal resistance, if the current through one resistor is doubled, what happens to the heating effect compared to the original configuration? 2. In an electrical circuit two resistors of 2 Ω and 4 Ω respectively are connected in series to a 6 V battery. How much heat is dissipated by the 4 Ω resistor in 5 s. 3. An electric motor is connected to a power supply of potential difference 12V. The current flowing in the circuit is 0.5 A. How much energy is dissipated in the motor in 25 minutes. 4. A 12-volt battery is connected to two resistors in parallel. If one resistor has a resistance of 4 ohms and the other has a resistance of 6 ohms, find the total current flowing through the circuit and the heat produced in each resistor in 60 seconds. 5. In a series circuit with three resistors, if the voltage across each resistor is 10 volts and the total current is 2 amperes, calculate the total heat produced in the circuit in 5 minutes. 6. If a charge of 2000 coulombs flows through a resistor of 20-ohm in 10 seconds and produces 6000 joules of heat, what is the voltage across the resistor? 7. A 10-ohm resistor is connected in series to a 20-ohm resistor, and this combination is connected in parallel with a 30-ohm resistor. Calculate the total heat produced in the circuit if a current of 2 amperes flows for 90 seconds. 8. If a current of 5 amperes flows through a wire for 20 seconds and produces 500 joules of heat, what is the total charge that passed through the wire? 9. Two resistors, R1 and R2, are connected in parallel to a 12-volt battery. If R1 has a resistance of 8 ohms and R2 has a resistance of 12 ohms, find the total current flowing through the circuit and the heat produced in R2 in 45 seconds. These questions are helping for grade 10 physics students and grade 12 physics students. These questions also help students of JEE and NEE who are preparing for competitive exams.
