I am an independent artist and am about to release my first independent album/miniseries/film. In "JOHN LINDAHL'S CULT CLASSIQUÉ", I have created an entire world, not just the music (much like Charlie Chaplin or John Carpenter's "Halloween"). The album is releasing on Friday, October 13th, 2023. This body of work is the first project that I felt could not exist without a film to tell the story of JOHNNY (think Edward Scissorhands meets Michael Jackson meets Halloween's Michael Myers). Every song was created with a vivid scene in my mind that propelled the story forward. The film will be released in parts as a miniseries starting the same day as the release of the album. It pays homage to the great music of the 80's, leaning heavy into 80's style dance music videos within the film, and the inherent charm of 80's indie horror. This entire vision is for you and me. I want you to know me. My innermost thoughts and my darkest emotions. The things we all feel but are afraid to say out loud. Those who have heard the music have asked why I’m hiding behind the mask of JOHNNY. However, in reality, OPENING NIGHT (my debut album when I was signed to Def Jam) was the mask. JOHNNY is who I am when I take the mask off. This teaser trailer will give you a glimpse of how the film/miniseries will look. The album is already mixed and mastered.
