If you want to make a clone of your Windows drive along with your programs and files, you will need to so a system\OS clone to do so. The free Clonezilla app will let you make an exact copy of your drive and also make it bootable so you can then replace your old drive with the new one. This comes in handy when upgrading to a faster or larger drive. It can also be used to clone your drive before it fails if you think your hard drive is going bad. The newer version of Clonezilla will let you use all the space when cloning your Windows drive to a larger drive, so you do not need to expand the C drive when the process is complete.
