Vinegaroon Info and Feeding

Vinegaroons are arachnids in the order Thelyphonida (AKA Uropygi). They are named for the vinegar like spray and odor they can emit when they feel threatened. In the mouth or eyes of a predator, this can be a great deterrent. Despite their appearance, they have no venom and are disinclined to pinch or bite people. I've never been pinched or bitten through handling huge numbers of them. They are very gentle animals and are in my top 5 favorite "pet bugs." I have enough footage of these to do a second video. I actually had to clip this one a bit to keep it under the 15 minute mark since YouTube hasn't approved me yet on this account for longer videos.
