Taking my CRF250L out green laning on an icy morning with the Forest of Dean Motorcycle Group.

Forest of Dean Motorcycle Group, green lane gathering. Starting with a coffee from Piston Grind in Coleford, we set off down ‘Rock Lane’ from Coleford down to Newland, and were met with multiple downed trees. Luckily there was enough of us to lift the tree to get bikes beneath and continue our lane. We continued to ‘Burial Path’, breaking the icy puddles as we rode through them. Once in Newland, we ventured down ‘French Lane’ through more icy puddles and into Redbrook before venturing across to Monmouth and on to the Doward. Once at the Doward we explored the amazing network of fun and easy going byways, before stopping at The Ye Ol Ferry Inn for a coffee on the riverside. After a brief refreshment, we reversed our route around the Doward, and finished our day of laning with the beautiful ‘Marstow Footway’. Great fun was had as always!
