Follow me on all the things! https://linktr.ee/TTISLP contact me directly: [email protected] We’re often told that if you just find the right ADHD strategy, everything will finally click. Pomodoro. Bullet journals. “Don’t put it down, put it away.” But what happens when those strategies stop working—or only work sometimes? In this video, I unpack the uncomfortable reality of ADHD and executive functioning: there is no one strategy to rule them all. Strategies take real mental energy, they don’t always generalize, and many stop working as your brain changes with stress, burnout, aging, hormones, or life circumstances. I talk through time blindness, novelty-seeking brains, why alarms get ignored, how “helpful” tips can backfire, and what it’s actually like to constantly retool systems just to stay afloat. This is less a list of tips and more an honest conversation about the hidden labor of executive skills, the shame spiral that comes with strategy failure, and why understanding and flexibility matter more than perfect productivity. If you’re neurodivergent, burned out, tired of ADHD listicles, or wondering why you still struggle even though you “know all the strategies,” this one’s for you.
