Yanis Varoufakis is a Greek academic, economist and politician who served as the Greek Minister of Finance in the first half of 2015. He's currently professor of economics at the University of Athens. Varoufakis recently wrote a book, just translated into English, called “Talking to My Daughter About the Economy, or How Capitalism Works and How it Fails.” He sat with WGBH News Editor Aaron Schacter to talk about the economy, the disenfranchised people in Europe and a new political party he is leading to bring progressive changes to the E.U.
