New court documents reveal that the BBC will take steps to get Donald Trump's lawsuit, over a misleading edit, thrown out of court. The US President sued the British national broadcaster after they spliced together two parts of an long speech he gave on January 6th 2021, making it look like he had incited people to riot at the Capitol. He is seeking total damages of ten billion dollars through a Florida court but it has now been revealed that the BBC will file to get the case dropped over lack of jurisdiction. Trump has already brought lawsuits against US media organisations including CBS, CNN, the Wall Street Journal and New York Times. Will he succeed in this latest case against the BBC?
