Courtney Chatterson is the Special Projects Officer for the Business Development Bureau in the City’s Economic Development Department. She joined Economic Development in 2022 to manage $20 million in economic recovery programs under the Long Beach Recovery Act and currently oversees the department’s business outreach and engagement teams. She previously worked as the Communications Specialist for the Office of Sustainability where she launched the City’s Green Business Program. She has an M.S. in Environmental Studies from Cal State Fullerton and an M.A. in international Development from the Graduate Institute of Geneva Switzerland. She believes small businesses are the heart of the Long Beach community and the foundation for its economy, and loves to experience all they have to offer, especially the food!
