This is a scene from the film 'First They Killed My Father' a 2017 historic film based on the Khmer Rouge take over of Cambodia and the subsequent genocide and de-westernisation of the country. The song in this scene is originally a Chinese Opera song named '帝女花' or 'Princess Chang Pin' in English. The song has a few variations throughout south east Asia but the values of the song are of sacrificing ones self for your country. In China during the end of the Ming Dynasty an Empress and her betrothed commit suicide as a form of political resistance and to save the former crown prince- her half brother- from the restoration of her fallen dynasty. It was used during the Khmer Rouge era to awaken national pride and glorify the sacrifice of ones life to their country.
