Luxembourg Art Week 2022 (11-13 November), Glacis Square, Luxembourg Luxembourg Art Week is an international contemporary art fair founded in 2015 by Alex Reding. Its 8th edition took place in from the 11th to the 13th of in an ephemeral structure at the Glacis Square in Luxembourg City. The fair presents each year a selection of international cutting-edge galleries, young emerging art galleries, institutions and artist-run spaces offering the opportunity for collectors and art lovers to sample the best of contemporary and modern art. A varied program of events took place at the art fair and in partner cultural institutions, such as Neimënster, Casino, Mudam, MNHA and Cercle Cité including the installation of monumental sculptures, conferences, performance series, film screenings, workshops and exclusive guided tours. In the frame of Luxembourg Art Week 2022, the first Lëtzebuerger Konschtpräis was announced. It was received by the artist Berthe Lutgen from the hands of H.R.H. the Grand Duchess. Alex Reding studied visual arts at the University of Paris I and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Düsseldorf. In 2001 he opened, together with Véronique Nosbaum, a contemporary art gallery named “the General Food” and located in Luxembourg-Gare. In 2006 they changed the name and location of the gallery and opened two addresses in the center of Luxembourg City. At the art fair many interesting conferences were organized. Among the themes were Artificial Intelligence, The future of Art & NFTs, “Accompagner le developpement de carriere des artistes” by Kultur | lx and many others.
