ATLP and XLR8 are truly the most popular exhaust brands for the 04-08 Acura TL. While they are both excellent systems, they have very different appearances and sounds. This video from Heeltoeauto.com shows you the distinct differences between them. Buy either on Heeltoeauto.com! 0:45 ATLP Base Non-Resonated, ATLP V2 J-pipe, ATLP Cat Delete 1:06 XLR8 Base Non-Resonated, XLR8 V2 J-pipe (catless) 1:39 XLR8 Quad Non-Resonated, Stock J-pipe and Cat (revs & take-off) 2:22 ATLP V2 Quad Non-Resonated, Stock J-pipe and Cat (revs & take-off) 3:04 XLR8 Quad Non-Resonated, Stock J-pipe and Cat (driving) 4:04 ATLP V2 Quad Non-Resonated, Stock J-pipe and Cat (driving) Notes: ATLP sounds quiet in these videos, and while it definitely is not as noticeable as the XLR8, it is a smoother, throatier sound that is definitely louder than stock. Especially in resonated trim, the ATLP exhaust will not drone or never get annoying. XLR8 has a moreover, exotic sound. The burble and rumble definitely get attention and sounds very cool! Keep in mind though, this sound can't be turned off. It can get to be a bit much if you are not trying to wake the neighbors.
