This sensor is designed to attach to the skin for 2 weeks and allow a handheld reader (or phone app) to collect data on your glucose levels. I show you the loading mechanism and open up the tag to show the electronics. It turns out the actual puncture needle is inside the blue part (behind the sensor) which then gets retracted by a spring once you press it on your skin. What I incorrectly keep calling the "needle" is actually a small black hair-like tip that remains in the skin after the needle has made a small hole, and it is connected to the sensor tag by 3 contacts. The tag itself has a few components on it including Texas Instruments RF430-family of NFC ISO15693 Sensor Transponder With SPI/I2C Interface and 14-Bit Sigma-Delta ADC, and an EM Microelectronic EM9304 Optimized Bluetooth® 5.0 Low Energy Companion or SoC next to what appears to be a silver-colored 48.000 clock crystal. After I made my video I found this fantastic blog which gives you more information and a nice breakdown: https://goughlui.com/2024/11/06/teard...
