Theri Kisagotami is a character in Buddhist literature who is said to have attained the state of Arahant, or enlightenment, through her devotion and determination. According to the story, Kisagotami was a young woman whose young son died. She was so grief-stricken that she carried his dead body with her, searching for a cure. She went to various healers and sages, asking for a remedy to bring her son back to life, but none could help her. Eventually, she came across the Buddha and asked him if he could revive her son. The Buddha asked her to bring him a handful of mustard seeds from a household where no one had died. Kisagotami went from house to house, but she soon realized that every household had been touched by death. She finally understood that death is a natural part of life and that her grief was futile. She let go of her attachment to her son and attained the state of Arahant, or enlightenment. The story of Theri Kisagotami is often used as an illustration of the Buddhist teaching on non-attachment, and the acceptance of the impermanence of life. It also represents the power of a mother's love and her determination to find a solution to her sorrow. #buddhism #protection #mantra #healing #buddha #compassion #avalokitesvara #avalokiteshvara #monastery #puja #lama #dalai #chant #buddha #guru #tara #imeeooi #metta #vajrasana #guru #mantra #puja #buddhism #tibet #nepal #india #indonesia #bhutan #aura #protection #manifest #saga #om
