The MACSima Platform is an easy-to-use, fully automated spatial biology solution that bridges the gap between cell phenotyping and tissue imaging. It provides detailed data on the expression levels of hundreds of protein markers within the spatial framework of tissues. The MACSima Platform uses the principle of iterative staining with any of our 2000+ pre-tested fluorochrome-conjugated antibodies to acquire microscopy data. The process comprises three main steps, all of which are conducted in a fully automated manner. 1. Samples are stained with recombinantly engineered REAfinity™ and REAdye_lease™ antibodies from our ever-growing portfolio. 2. Immunofluorescence images of the desired sample areas are acquired. 3. The fluorescence signal is erased, either by photobleaching or by specific and controlled fluorochrome release using our sophisticated REAdye_lease antibodies. Both mechanisms can be used in the same experiment without harming sample integrity. The process then repeats through as many iterations as you have antibodies to stain with. While the instrument runs, users can engage in other lab activities or analyze images in real-time. The powerful MACS® iQ View Analysis Software allows for the selection and direct localization of cells based on the expression of markers. It easily handles such high volumes of data, making it simple to perform segmentation, gate cells, and scatter plots, t-SNE plots, heatmaps and much more.
