Kyoto at night: Dance performances by real Geisha 【HD】

Kyoto is a wonderful place to enjoy walking around the ancient streets and admire temples, gardens and shrines; all real architectural jewels filled with thousands of years of history. These magnificent places become alive at night with beautiful illumination shows held throughout the year, filling the evenings with a special and magical atmosphere. If you visit Kyoto during spring or autumn, you can enjoy many night illumination shows at the most famous temples and shrines. Also, don't forget about the Hanatoro festivals, held twice a year: at Arashiyama in December, and at Higashiyama in March. This video is from the 2013 Higashiyama Hanatoro. First, we see the area close to the the Kiyomizu Dera, then a dance performance held at the Yasaka Shrine by real Maiko (Geisha apprentice) from the Ponto-cho district. After this, we see a display of the floats used on the festival of the Awata Shrine, and the night view of the Yasaka no To Pagoda. At the end of the video, again we enjoy the beautiful dance and music of the Maiko of Kyoto.
