"The Black Fleet Welcome to the World of Asphodel — a realm of lust, magic, and divine temptation. Here, gods whisper in the dark, knights kneel for love and power, and beauty walks hand in hand with ruin. My art explores the adult side of Dungeons & Dragons — sensual, tragic, and mythic. Step inside the Gilded Cage, and let fantasy consume you. https://www.deviantart.com/larryhunkin A Theme song for my custom D&D game set in my homebrew World of Asphodel game. The song is about a group called The black fleet. The theme opens with a low, rolling percussion that mimics the crash of waves and the distant beat of war drums. A mournful string section rises, weaving a melody like the creak of rigging and the whisper of sails in the wind. From this brooding foundation, a dark choir enters—chanting in harsh, almost ritualistic tones—invoking the power of the Regent who commands the fleet. The verses tell the tale of the Black Fleet, a dreaded armada of pirate slavers who scour the seas of Asphodel. Their ships, painted in shadow and runed iron, are said to carry not just chains of steel but bonds of sorcery. With forbidden magic, they imprison the spirits of beasts, sailors, and even fallen heroes, forcing them into eternal servitude beneath the Regent’s banner. Each chorus swells with thunderous brass and crashing cymbals, capturing the terror of black sails appearing on the horizon. The bridge grows more haunting, carried by eerie, echoing flutes and distorted vocals, as the song shifts into a chilling reminder: no one is truly free once the Black Fleet marks them. The final chorus erupts in a surge of defiance and dread—an anthem of inevitability, as if the sea itself rises to sing the Regent’s dominion. Overall, the song is both a dirge and a battle march: part legend, part warning. It embodies the dread mystery of the Fleet while foreshadowing the heroes’ struggle against an enemy that does not merely conquer bodies but ensnares souls.
