A2 - Eltham (South Circular Road) to Bexleyheath

The A2 runs for 72 miles/116 km from the A3 at Borough in central London to Dover, the UK's busiest passenger port, largely following the old Roman Road, Watling Street. There have been a large number of improvements over the years, including an M2 motorway bypass of the Medway towns and several high standard dual carriageway upgrades. Despite this, the main route from the M25 to Dover is now via the M20 and A20. The A2 still has a few bottlenecks, including some single-carriageway sections at the Dover end, and a congested junction at Brenley Corner, where the M2, A2 and A299 meet. This video shows an eastbound journey along the A2, from the junction with the A205 South Circular Road at Eltham, to the junction with the A210 and A221 at Blendon near Bexleyheath.
