Ben Lomond National Park-Jacobs Ladder ,Northern Tasmania.

Ben Lomond-Jacobs Ladder ,the famous zig tag road inside the Ben Lomond National Park, Northern Tasmania. A new place for me, now I think that I misprounce LOMOND throughout this episode as I think it is 'LOW-MOND' but never mind. This was an unplanned visit so I went up with half tank of fuel and didn't risk doing the Jacobs Ladder part but I did walk some of it. There is a great free camp there too with little animals around. Over to Beaconsfield north of Launceston. This is the location of the famous goldmine disaster which claimed one person and left two men trapped for about 12 days,and were finally rescued, you can remember the famous footage of them coming out of the lift from the mine. So my time in Tasmania is coming to an end soon,but I still have a waterfall and gorge to visit yet so more to come in Tasmania, enjoy Bill.
