Lyrics: I’m not blind I can see I can also see Braille, that doesn’t mean I can read it One of these days I’ll break down your walls and crash through your ceiling Still water runs deep as deep as your eyes & I’m bound to drown It’s too soon to cut you loose I’ve clearly got more to prove Your silence cuts through You’re givin’ me nothin’ I’m not blind I can see I can also see Braille, that doesn’t mean I can read it I’m alive, I can feel I can also feel Braille, that doesn’t mean I can read it Just like I can’t read you Just give me time I’ll get under your skin the way you’re under mine I don’t know why I so desperately seek the validation you hide I’m too sore from loving you and I ain’t even loved ON you You’re too aloof and I’m overthinkin’ I’m not blind I can see I can also see Braille, that doesn’t mean I can read it I’m alive, I can feel I can also feel Braille, that doesn’t mean I can read it Just like I can’t read you I can see just fine baby But I can read you I don't understand I’m not blind I can see I can also see Braille, that doesn’t mean I can read it I’m alive, I can feel I can also feel Braille, that doesn’t mean I can read it Just like I can’t read you I’m not blind I can see I can also see Braille, that doesn’t mean I can read it I’m alive, I can feel I can also feel Braille, that doesn’t mean I can read it Just like I can’t read you I’m not blind I can see I can also see Braille, that doesn’t mean I can read it #reesetea #braille #ThereseCuratolo About Braille: BRAILLE is the soundtrack to the frustrations of star-crossed lovers everywhere. Featuring Swatkins (Allen Stone, Vulfpeck, Scary Pockets, The Positive Agenda) on talkbox and keyboards, BRAILLE was produced by my Brother Paul in a bedroom of our family home during quarantine. I’ve always had this innate power to read people and the energy in a room, so BRAILLE chronicles my experience attempting to read the unreadable. In the opening lines of this retro pop/funk anthem, I surrender to the struggle, singing “I’m alive, I can feel. I can also feel braille. That doesn’t mean I can read it. Just like I can’t read you.” Even the most extroverted person can hit a wall trying to connect with their secret crush, especially when they’re the world’s most introverted person. We’ve all been there, it’s a universal feeling. Braille is like relationship trauma bonding. It’s the perfect excuse to come together and share in our frustrations with dating and those pesky crushes you just can’t shake. I will be donating 20% of all proceeds to The Braille Institute, Los Angeles in an effort to serve the community and keep the institute’s tremendous services free of charge to those in need. If you are able to donate or volunteer your services to the visually impaired community in any way, please do so here: https://brailleinstitute.org/ways-to-... About Therese Curatolo: Therese Curatolo is a Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter, globally acclaimed vocalist that lights up any room with her effervescent energy, charisma and retro vibe. Therese prides herself on her wit, humor, and honest approach to songwriting, and her music has been described as retro pop/funk reminiscent of HAIM, The Night Game and Fickle Friends. She has lent her voice to several established groups, such as Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox, Scary Pockets, and Cirque du Soleil, touring worldwide and amassing over 1,000,000 Spotify streams and 7,000,000 views on YouTube. Fans of her work with Scary Pockets and Postmodern Jukebox have called her a “singing pogo stick,” “a powerhouse” and a “vocal chameleon.” Therese has established herself as an artist on the rise singing alongside soul legends Stevie Wonder and Martha Reeves. Through the years, her versatile vocal power has taken her from the Metropolitan Opera to the big screen and iconic venues, like The Troubadour. Her last performance before the global pandemic was with Tony Award-winning, Broadway composer Jason Robert Brown, who referred to her performances as a “vocal master class.” Soon after, she released singles Tokyo and Babe in 2020, channeling `80s nostalgia and flirtatious energy. Braille is the next chapter in her retro chronicles, as she continues to transport fans back in time with a fresh take on familiar sounds.
