Hello there! A brand new month means a brand new challenge! September brings us #scraptember2025, hosted by Margreth ‪@SevenplazaCreative‬ and Toni ‪@CraftybyToni‬ . They’ve put together a fabulous prompt list to keep us inspired all month long. For today’s prompt, “Packaging,” I created a junk journal using all sorts of packaging pieces — brown paper and bags, honeycomb wrapping, green fruit box forms, and even delicatessen wrappers. I built two very scrappy, highly textural signatures and tucked them into one of my previously made lay-flat journal covers. I also did some very exciting dry embossing, turning brown paper and even teabags into heavily textured papers for the cover. This idea was inspired by Belle ‪@belaboocreations2020‬ — check out her fabulous tutorial video below for more inspiration! To finish it off, I decorated the cover with scraps and leftovers from my desk, pulling in ideas from the prompt list along the way. It’s turned into a fun, upcycled junk journal that I can’t wait to play in throughout the challenge.
