The Apollo Hospital, Hyderabad, India has pulled off a rare medical miracle of carrying out successfully a combined liver and kidney transplant surgery. The beneficiary? The High Commission of India is pleased to share that Mr. Gabriel Ceaser Sisa - a Tanzanian National was the patient who underwent this rare, twin transplant surgery. As per Apollo’s team of doctors, this very rare surgery took 23 long hours. They commented that “this the first such case in India and could be the second case all over the world”.
