Shocking CCTV: Mugger repeatedly punches girl in broad daylight

Subscribe to ITN News: http://bit.ly/itnytsub Police have released shocking CCTV of a teenage girl being cornered by a mugger on a bike and then repeatedly punched. The 18-year-old was attacked last Saturday as she walked through an underpass in Walthamstow, north-east London, on her way to visit her grandmother. She was approached by a man on a bicycle who demanded she hand over her bags. He then knocked her to the ground and punched her in the head, causing her to bleed heavily from the ear. As she tried to walk away from him, the attacker came back for more and continued to threaten her. At one point in the video a man walks past appearing not to notice the attack and looking at his mobile phone. The victim's mother told a local newspaper that she wished witnesses had intervened. The cyclist, who is still at large, managed to rip the victim's bag from her shoulder, bruising her neck, before speeding away. Report by Ashley Fudge.
