On this 2017 GX460 build I made a set of square tube rock sliders, a rear bash bar bumper with a dual swingout (fuel carrier and tire carrier) and then a front insert bumper. This video covers the 2x2" square tube rock sliders. General info on materials and dimensions... The info is in the video but I use 3/16" 2 x 2 inch steel square tube for everything except the frame plates, those are 3/16" steel. I generally use 0.030 solid wire with a MIG setup while welding. For 3/16" steel I have the welder set up at about 290-300 for the wire speed and 20volts. When I switched over to welding the sliders to the frame I dialed the welder down to about 245 wire speed and 18.5 volts.
