COLOMBO (News 1st); The Chairman of the Weligama Pradeshiya Sabha, Lasantha Wickramasekara, also known as Midigama Lasa, has died following a shooting incident that occurred this (22) morning while he was at the Pradeshiya Sabha premises. According to police reports, two individuals arrived on a motorcycle and opened fire at the Chairman before fleeing the scene. Wickramasekara was immediately rushed to hospital for treatment.
