Max decided to snatch the bone from the other Dog. Without a second thought, he opened his mouth to bark and grab at it. The bone in his mouth fell into the water with a splash. Surprised and confused, Max looked at the water. The bone was gone, and so was the reflection. Max whimpered, realizing his mistake. The greedy Dog had been fooled! Max continued his walk home without the bone. His pride was hurt more than his hunger. This made Max think about his greed. Back in the village, Max saw his friend Bella, a fellow Dog, who looked hungry. Remembering his own lesson, he shared some treats he had at home with Bella. Because Max shared with Bella, other Dogs noticed and joined them. They played together, and Max realized that sharing made him happier than keeping everything to himself. From that day on, Max found joy in sharing and making friends instead of being a greedy Dog. His heart felt full, and he never looked back on his days of greed. His new adventures were even more exciting because now, he was never alone.
